Plumbing and sanitary work - Method of estimate plumbing and sanitary works 

Water is supplied from the main pipe of the road or from any source through pipes, fittings and other equipment to the fixtures used in the building. Reusable wastewater and other waste liquids are disposed of through sewer pipes at designated locations. All this is covered by plumbing.

(1) What is plumbing?

So plumbing is the art that is adopted for the purpose of water supply and drainage for a better life according to the scientific rules of health.

The supply pipe carries the water and the exhaust pipe drains the dirty water used.

(2). What is plumbing installation or what is it called?

Plumbing installation is the proper installation of pipes, fittings and other equipment used for water supply and discharge of used water or other liquid lightning.

Plumbing installation can be divided into three parts, namely:

(A) Supply system

(B) fixturer system

(C) Drainage system

(A) Method of supply:

 During the festival, water is taken from the main pipe of the road to the building and delivered to various used places like toilets, kitchens, basins etc.

(B) fixturer system:

This method includes wash basin, water closet, sink, bathtub, laundry-tray etc.

(C) Drainage system:

Dirty water, excrement, dishwashing water, rain water, etc. used to be fixtures are discharged into sewer pipes through drainage pipes.

The toilets on each floor of a multi-storey building are arranged in such a way that the drainage work can be done with the help of a single stool and a single gas exhaust pipe.

The water from the water tank on the roof of the building flows through gravity to the place used by the distribution pipe.

The water is used in various ways and the sewage from various sanitary pits is dumped in the house drains through the sewage.

Different fittings and fixtures required for water supply and sanitary works:

A) What are the settings?

Pipes are required for water supply and drainage, changing the direction of the pipeline, diverting branch lines from the main pipeline, connecting smaller pipes with larger pipes, and installing features in the pipeline. These tools are called fittings.

Settings are made of materials like cast iron, wrought iron, galvanized iron, porcelain, cement, asbestos, concrete, terracotta etc.

Fixtures are the use of water in different places in the building and for the active drainage of used water and other liquids.

Picture means sanitary fittings or fixtures. The following are the names of different types of fixtures:
